Helena Haapio,Master of Laws, Master of Quality, is International Contract Counsel with Lexpert Ltd (www.lexpert.com) based in Helsinki, Finland. She combines quality and risk management with Proactive Preventive Law to help business people help themselves (rather than having to rely on lawyers alone). Before founding Lexpert Ltd, she served for seven years as in-house counsel for Wärtsilä Group companies in Finland, Norway, Sweden and the United States. She has conducted training workshops on Proactive Contracting, Safe Sales, Strategic Sourcing, and Contractual Risk Management in Europe, Americas, and Southeast Asia. Hjördis Halldorsdottir, LL.M., Attorney at Law, is lawyer working for LOGOS - legal services (www.logos.is), in Reykjavik, Iceland, with Information Technology Law as well as Copyright as her major practice areas. She is a member of the representatives board of the Copyright Association of Iceland and has been a teacher at the law faculty of the University of Iceland since 2001. In addition she has lectured and published articles, e.g., on such topics as e-mail surveillance in the private workplace, and on the liability of various players in the different P2P systems being used today.

René Franz Henschel (Master of Law, Ph.D.) is Associate Professor at the Department of Business law, Centre for International Busines law (CIBL), Aarhus School of Business, University of Aarhus, Denmark, and managing director of Henschel Contract Management. Before joining the research community, he served as a Head of Office at the Danish Ministry of Economic and Business Affairs (1997-1999) where marketing law, contract law and consumer law was his primary working fields. He has published several articles and books in English within these issues. He is an expert member of the Danish Forum of IT Law, member of the Proactive Think Tank, co-editor of legal journals and databases and has provided consulting to many large corporations and law firms in the areas of both commercial contracting, contract management and arbitration.

Anette Kavaleff, LL.Lic, has her own legal practise Oy Kavaleff Consulting Ab in Finland and works mainly with energy companies and organisations providing them with legal assistance in matters relating to contracts, projects and transactions. Her other areas of practice include legal advice and training to export businesses. She often works as a member of her client's in-house teams and takes a proactive and pragmatic legal approach in her tasks. Prior to starting her own practice Anette Kavaleff worked in 1985 - 2000 as a Company Lawyer and Project Finance Director of Fortum Corporation. During her post-graduate studies in data protection and consumer rights in the early 1980's she was also affiliated with the University of Stockholm and engaged by the Nordic Council.

Nicklas Lundblad, L.LM and B.A in philosophy and literature, is vice president new technology policy at the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce. He is a member of the second section of the e-Europe Steering Group, and has participated in a number of European Union expert groups. He is also active in the EBITT-commission in the International Chamber of Commerce, as well as a board member of World Internet Institute in Sweden and ADBJ - the national Swedish organisation for IT and Law. He is also a Ph D Student in informatics working with a research project on the different aspects of technology impact on law. Mr Lundblad has authored two books on information technology, law and society and is a frequent contributor and columnist in a number of Swedish newspapers and magazines.

Cecilia Magnusson Sjöberg, LL.D., Professor of Law and Informatics, The Swedish Law & Informatics Research Institute, Faculty of Law, Stockholm University, Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences Research Fellow. She has had more than 20 years of practical experience of developing and using IT-based legal information systems, including the public and the private sector as well as participation in EU-projects. Major current research project investigates the possibilities of cross-fertilisation of methods for security enhancement and applications of information standards in the legal domain. Tobias Mahler is a doctoral research fellow at the Norwegian Research Center for Computers and Law (NRCCL). His research focuses on developing methods and models for legal risk management. His research interests include risk management, visualisation of law, legal theory, data protection law, contract law and contract management. He has served as a member of several international program committees in computers and law and has participated in several EU-funded and national research projects. In addition to his research activities, he holds a part-time position as corporate legal counsel in a global industrial corporation.

Eric M. Runesson, LLM, PhD Contract Law (jur dr) at the Stockholm School of Economics Stockholm, Associate professor (docent) at the Stockholm School of Economics, University Professor adjunct, Trade law at the University of Lund and, Partner at Sandart & Partners has an extensive experience within the field of commercial litigation. His present focus is however commercial transactions aligning contract law and IP law, which is also the field of his academic interest. He frequently serves as an advisor in negotiations regarding transaction planning as well as dispute resolution. Besides his negotiation and transaction work, he regularly serves as an arbitrator in Swedish and international arbitral proceedings.

Jan Trzaskowski, master of business administration and commercial law, is conducting a research project on 'Legal Risk Management in Cross-Border Electronic Commerce' at the Law Department of Copenhagen Business School. He has dealt with IT law for many years and has previously held positions within this area at the Danish Ministry of Business and Industry and at a Copenhagen-based law firm. Emily M. Weitzenböck, LL.M. (Southampton), LL.D. (Malta), is currently a doctoral research scholar at the Norwegian Research Center for Computers & Law (NRCCL), Faculty of Law, University of Oslo (www.jus.uio.no/iri/), investigating the legal issues related to dynamic networked organisations. She also lectures in E-Commerce Law within the Master of Laws programme at the NRCCL. She was admitted to the Bar in Malta in 1994 and between 1994 and 1998 was a member of Mamo TCV Advocates in Malta where she assisted both local and foreign clients with IT law matters. From 1999-2003, she was responsible for the management of, and coordinated research in a number of research projects at the NRCCL funded by the European Commission: MARVIN, ECLIP and ALIVE. Her research interests include legal issues related to virtual organizations, electronic agents, trust and contract law.
