William Twining (University College London):
Law, Justice, and Globalization: Some Reflections

Drawing on my current project on “General Jurisprudence”, my paper will reflect on some general themes relevant to the conference, including pitfalls of discourse about globalization (“G-talk"), levels of legal relations and legal ordering, uses and limitations of geographical metaphors, the problematic of “spheres of justice”, and strengthening the case for a robust theory of ius humanitatis.
