General information
The Department of Law offers four one-year Master Programmes: in European Law, Law and Information Technology, International Commercial Arbitration Law and European Intellectual Property Law. They are all open to foreign visiting students with a LLB diploma in law. All programmes are also open to graduates with a Swedish LL.M. degree.

European Law, Law and Information Technology and International Commercial Arbitration Law starts in the end of August each year.
European Intellectual Property Law starts in the middle of January each year.

Some 130 students are admitted to these programmes each year.

The fifth Master programme, the European Master Programme in Law and Economics is part of a joint European Programme, wherein the Department of Law at Stockholm University, is one of several teaching units.

Degrees
Students who have fulfilled the course requirements for a full year programme at the Department of Law will be awarded a Swedish Juris magister degree, translation depending on the particular programme followed by the student after applying for the degree certificate.

Application for the degree certificate (with the necessary documents) should be handed in to Studentexpeditionen (4th floor) at the latest by 8/6 2009 to be issued before the summer vacations. All results must have been reported and the application must be complete otherwise the degree certificate can't be issued. Applications handed in later than that will be issued after the start of the term (late August/September). The application form is found here.
