Vice. supervisor:
Desc:The dissertation focuses on whistleblowing and the legal issues that arise when somebody discloses irregularities or wrongdoings within an organization, such as a public agency or a private company. In particular, the relationship between whistleblowing and corruption is studied and how whistleblowing protection can decrease the level of corruption. To this end, methods and theories from the economic sciences are used, particularly the Principal-Agent Theory. The thesis focuses specifically on whistleblowing in a Swedish context but also provides an international outlook.
Financing:Torsten och Ragnar Söderberg Foundations
Timeplan:January 2010 - January 2014
