Katarina Renman Claesson - Doctoral Project

My thesis examines proprietary rights to compilations (databases, multimedia products, websites, encyclopaedias, catalogues, etc.), and how these rights have developed since the 1970s. In this connection I have studied the legal developments which have occurred in Sweden, based on various international agreements concerning copyright, and the ‘copyright’ EU directives (especially the Data Base Directive and the so called Info Soc Directive) that were adopted during the 1990s and at the beginning of the 21st century.
